Two good shows

Shake that parachute

Mr. Wee arrives in the songtheuw at 8.15 and we load up and drive about 25 minutes north to Ban Pakwep School. A very small and cosy school with about 110 students - I do a quick parachute session with 60 of them while the show is set up - though these 60 are very tiny and it is difficult to get many very organised games going - but they love just shaking the parachute, luckily - the colours on our new 11.5 metre parachute with the Children's World lettering are really lovely!

HAGGIS AND JO PASSING CLUBS BETWEEN AND AROUND JAKE'S LEGS AS HE OPENS AND CLOSES THEM WHILE DOING A HAND STAND

Making mistakes entertaining

Juggling at Ban Pakwep SchoolThe show goes extremely well. There are a few "drops" in the juggling routines, but the "characters" work so well together now that any drops or mistakes can be made funny and part of the show - for instance Jo's "Daisy" can be cross or disappointed, which always makes the children laugh, and if "Khun Haggis" drops a ball, hat or club, then Jake's "Geoffrey", the valet, rushes on and uses the clothes brush to clean the prop, etc. More and more slapstick is developing in the show, particularly between Jake and Haggis - which the Thais, both children and adults, really love!

Nice school - strange pink drinks

Audience games at Ban Bang Kle SchoolWe pack up and drive back to Khao Lak, stop for a quick lunch and then head south about an hour to Baan Bang Kle School - this is a very nice Muslim school with about 200 students. We are running a bit late as the journey had been a bit longer than we expected, so we set up the show in double-fast time - there is no room to do parachute games, even if we had the time. The show, on a raised stage, in a small, but nice, open hall, goes down a storm and we are given water, strange pink drinks and oranges before being allowed to leave.

Unload the van, a quick beach trip and an early dinner after checking the internet. Early bed. It is even hotter here, and there are definitely more mosquitos, but we are very glad to be here - we feel much more needed here than we did in Phuket.
